Artist & Label Accelerator

Twelve weeks to build your music business on solid ground

Launching a career or a label is a lot to do at once. The Accelerator puts an entertainment lawyer on your team for the first 12 weeks, with weekly meetings and the legal groundwork done in the right order.

Short answer: The Artist & Label Accelerator is Zeb Chandler's 12-week program for launching artists and independent labels. For $7,500 you get weekly meetings, your business entity or trademark application, your core agreements, copyright and royalty registrations, and release and distribution counseling.

Two tracks

Artist Accelerator

Royalties, rights and registrations; ownership and control of your brand, channels and distribution; and a strategy for releasing and marketing your music professionally and profitably.

Label Accelerator

Company formation, investor and partner agreements, and the entertainment agreements a label needs to sign artists, build a catalog and keep its value.

What's included in the first 12 weeks

  • LLC setup or artist trademark application preparation
  • Your core agreements: management, production, marketing, recording and more
  • Counseling on songwriting, publishing, distribution and best practices
  • Distribution and marketing strategy
  • Negotiation of agreements on your behalf
  • Introductions to producers, videographers, studios, marketers and labels
  • Weekly video or phone meetings, plus email and text access
  • Platform analytics and data reviews
  • Access to a library of artist and independent-label contracts

Government filing fees, printing and mailing costs are extra, and you'll always be told about them in advance.

Why a program instead of one-off help

The best results come from working closely together. Launching a label or a career means making dozens of connected decisions: who owns what, who gets paid what, what gets registered where and in what order. Doing them together over 12 weeks means nothing important gets skipped, and you finish with a business that's ready to release, sign, license or raise money.

After the first 12 weeks, many clients continue with monthly ongoing representation.
